"We've seen a 30% uplift in users, and increased inbound from working with Shake."
Daniel Sawko, CEO @ Shipshape.vc

The Client.

Shipshape.vc is a free investor search engine technology business. To date, over 4,000 companies have raised more than £1bn using the platform.

Unlike traditional investor databases, Shipshape.vc is built specifically for founders and the organisations that support them. It aggregates data from 25,000+ global funds and layers in private growth signals submitted directly by management teams - creating a far more accurate picture of where capital is moving next.

Their CEO, Daniel Sawko had a large following on LinkedIn and was consitently frustrated how much time and effort was required to put into the platform to create content that he was proud of.

The Objective.

1/ Drive awareness and usage of Shipshape.vc among founders raising capital.

2/ Position Shipshape.vc as a credible, trusted data partner for public and private sector organisations supporting high-growth companies.

3/ Use content to clearly communicate the commercial value of Shipshape’s private growth signals, attribution, and precision targeting — without overcomplicating the message.

Shake Solution.

We helped Shipshape.vc turn a technically powerful product into clear, founder-led storytelling that drives real usage - not just visibility.

The focus wasn’t on features. It was on:
- Explaining why Shipshape’s private growth signals matter
- Showing how attribution and precision targeting translate into ROI
- Making the value obvious to founders and institutional buyers alike

Content was designed to do two jobs at once:
1. Educate and build trust at the top of the funnel
2. Support sales conversations mid-cycle, giving prospects something concrete to anchor on

This approach directly contributed to increased platform adoption during the Shake engagement, with signups up 30% compared to the 62-day period prior - validating that the content wasn’t just being consumed, but acted on.
“We've seen a 30% uplift in users, and increased inbound from working with Shake (since we started in August).

We've got a lot of relevant insights to share, but finding the time to invest in a single post/video/article was always challenging with other priorities.

Working with Shake has made content easy - not only can we share more insights, but we are producing studio grade video content for social media. Creating this content has also enabled us to start to tap into other channels (e.g. Youtube).

It's wonderful working with James, Harry, Dani and the team, they make making content a pleasure.”

Results.

45%+
Engagements
30%
Increased Signups
13%
Increased Following
60%
Increased Impressions
Over the initial four-month period working with Shake Content, Shipshape.vc saw clear and sustained growth across both its LinkedIn presence and platform adoption.

During this time, follower count increased by 13.4%, growing from 17,692 to 20,069, while impressions rose by nearly 60%, climbing from 96,475 to 154,242. Engagement followed the same upward trend, with total engagements increasing by 44.1%, from 3,292 to 4,745.

Most importantly, this increased visibility translated into meaningful commercial outcomes. As Dan from Shipshape noted, the period working with Shake Content delivered a 30% uplift in signups compared to the 62-day period prior.

This reinforced content as more than a brand-building exercise, instead becoming a reliable driver of platform adoption and pipeline momentum.

Conclusion.

When Shipshape.vc came to us, they already had something most platforms don’t: genuinely differentiated data and a clear commercial use case. What they needed wasn’t louder marketing - it was sharper storytelling.

The challenge was helping founders and institutions quickly understand why Shipshape mattered, and when it should be used. That meant stripping away complexity, anchoring everything in real growth signals, and building trust through consistency rather than campaigns.

What’s been most encouraging isn’t just the growth in reach or engagement, but the behaviour change underneath it. More founders signing up. More meaningful conversations with banks, public sector bodies, and partners. Content being used as a sales asset, not just a brand asset.

That’s exactly where content should sit, as a driver of adoption, clarity, and momentum.

I’m excited about where Shipshape is heading, and proud of the role we’ve played in helping them articulate a story that does justice to the product they’ve built
